Countdown: Only a few days left to get signed up for our first series of tournaments. Get your spot before time is up (yes, we'll be having more than one tournament series, but you'll want to be in the first set to make your mark and set your place in the ladders.)

New Look: Out with the old, in with the new. We've redesigned the site to bring more to our members. The navigation and layout has been rebuilt from the ground up, so let us know what you think.

Rules and TOS: We have all the information on how this works and what you can expect from us (and what we expect from you: Kick ass and take names.) This is all available in the member menus to the left (non-members can view it by becoming a member or asking nicely).

We'll be keeping busy getting the system ready for round one, but send us your feedback so we can make it better.

New Visitors: Welcome to the site, Joomla! users. I've seen a lot of you Joomla! gamers out there stopping in to check out the GameStat software (pretty cool shit, eh?) It's great to see so much interest from the community. Please join us at BattleForCash.com for some tournaments. SMS (Text-Message): We are now offering the option to have a text message sent to you the day before a scheduled match. Go to your profile page and update your contact options to enable this feature. Yes, you'll need a cell phone to do this (please, don't enter your ex-girlfriend's number in here or anything. It might be funny to imagine another person getting a goofy-ass text message about a Battlefield 2 tournament, but their look of bewilderment isn't worth BFC.com administration getting flamed and possibly sued.) In the future, we will add the option for clan members to text each other through the site before a match as well. This service won't send SMS beyond that, so don't worry about getting text-spammed.

Battlefield 2 Stats: Looking at the stats, you guys have been busy (the more kills the better, right?) Get that practice in while you can. Note: If you aren't seeing your stats tracked here, please go to your profile and change the Battlefield 2 information. You need the 7-8 digit ID number, not the name you use in the game. After you enter that number, you'll see your in-game alias and personal stats appear in the BattleForCash system along with the other members' stats.

New Clan: We have a new clan on board:  Pissed Americans With Guns. Welcome to the group, guys.

Server Stats: Alright, troops, I've released the v0.0.1 beta of the BFC.com's exclusive server stat software, GameStat. I want you to abuse the shit out of this software and report any bugs or inconsistencies in it. The development notes are available in the GameStat software section as well as notes on the highly-secret and experimental software BattleHQ that we're developing. As always, the software is free to our clans for use on their site, just contact administration for the download information.

Hypernia: We'd like to welcome the Hypernia visitors to the site. This site is a service to you, the gaming community, so anything that we can do to make your gaming experience better, let us know (Seriously, the management team is a bunch of life-long gamers who happen to be web developers, too. We love gaming and want to make the gaming world a better place for the gamers.)

Alright, troops. The first set of qualification rounds is going to begin in a couple weeks, so get ready. Here's what we're currently working on to make this site just a little more badass:

Server Stats: I've had to look at so much computer code the last few days that my brain hurts, but soon we'll have a server statistic system exclusive to BattleForCash.com and available to all our clans, free of charge (yeah, we're just cool like that.) Let me know what you want stats for so I can add that to the code (there's always v2.0, but it'd be sweet to get it right on the money the first time around, too.)

Server Negotiations: We're working with a few companies right now (no names, yet) to get servers that are exclusive to BFC.com and the tournaments, ensuring you get a fast-as-hell connection and no lag (but, please, stop downloading music while you game, seriously now: What's more important?) 

Want to help our cause? Were distributing a few images this week (available on the site soon) for you to place on your profiles elsewhere. You know, represent your clan (and BFC).

It's been a busy week for us at BattleForCash.com and that means more sick-ass features for our members. Where do we start?

Forums: Great place to go and talk some shit. Let everyone know how l33t you are so we can put you back in your place in the tournaments. This is also where game and feature requests can go.

More games: We knew you wanted more, so we added more. Support for servers and stats nearly a dozen games (with more to come with your requests).

Clan features: Clans, beyond free hosting, have a new 'Welcome to HQ' gift pack. I'm not going to tell you what's in it so far. You'll just have to sign-up and find out. Remember: BattleForCash.com takes care of it's clans.

Cash System: We're implementing a state-o-the-art, bleeding-edge system to put the 'cash' in BattleForCash. You can check it out as we piece everything together and get it ready for the first set of tournaments.

Message System: You know, to call someone a bitch...or whatever.

You may have noticed some pretty sweet changes since you last logged in. We've been busy and here's why:

Battlefield 2 Stats: First, go and add your Battlefield 2 ID to your profile and get live stats from our server (this means you won't have to run back and forth from the main servers to see how much ass you are currently kicking on the ladders. SWEET!)

Buddy System: You have friends. We know you do. Now, get them in our system and keep track of who's playing, where they're playing and how much shit they're going to talk before the match (doesn't that always make the victory that much sweeter?)

Fewer Ads: I know, you're going to miss them, right? We took out the banner up top to bring you more screen real estate (you know, for BF2 stats.)

FORUM: Talk trash, find out more about whats happening in Merc central, Gain your BFC ranking and more with our new battle forum 

Newsletters: If you want to know when the next tournament is taking place, or hear stories of great battles from fellow Mercs , sign up for our newsletters! 

LAST BUT NOT LEAST: Let us know what you're playing and we'll make the online experience better. We'll be adding more features and information  for more games soon, but we want EVERYTHING you play to be available right here so SPEAK UP! And don't forget to bring your clan by (tell your contact guy in the clan that you found a site that'll totally hook it up.) We love clans. You're like family that we can shoot.
